What is Juvenile Dependency?

Foster parents, caretakers, and de-facto parents don’t have all of the same rights as biological parents, but they do have some rights.  Juvenile dependency law concerns those rights.  Foster home parents and de-facto parents or caretakers sometimes find themselves in disputes with biological parents or other relatives.  Often, these caretakers have acted as parents for so long that they want to take the next step and adopt the children.  Having cared for neglected or abused children, these caretakers have earned legal standing and rights regarding the children which are recognized by California courts.  In some circumstances the court may find that adoption is justified.  Call Sagaria Law today to learn more.
